Have questions, comments, resources? Please contact me!

The goal of Historic Drumming is to create a space where research-oriented drummers, interested in the history of drumming, can discuss research, ideas, and music and contact each other.

I love meeting fellow drummers and historians, so feel free to contact me to introduce yourself or with questions.

If there are topics you’d like to see discussed here, let me know!

Interested in writing your own article post? I’m open to guest writers. So, if there’s a topic you’re particularly interested and well-read it and you’d like to add to information to this website, let me know and we can talk about details.

Confused? Have constructive criticism?

Finally, as a musician and academic, I am always open to constructive criticism. If you have evidence or thoughts that might build up or contradict my arguments, I’d love to hear it and have a discussion. If you find any of my arguments confusing or unconvincing – please tell me! I’ll be happy to fix that.

Alternatively, always feel free to comment on specific pages and try to start a conversation there with our fellow drummers and historians.

Please note:

All of my research has brought me into contact with a huge vault of resources. Just about everything that I had read / looked at / have a copy of, is listed in my References Page.

I will be slowly adding links from the references listed there to where you can purchase, download, or otherwise get your hands on these resources.

If there’s something specific you’d like, but there isn’t a link, contact me and I might be able to help!
